what happened in roughly 1870 though
why was there temporary internet
with a few people searching for pokemon?
It’s a search of Google books, but the question still stands, what the Fuck happened in 1870
I CAN ANSWER THIS!!
In the Cornish dialect of English, Pokemon meant ‘clumsy’ (pure coincidence).
In the mid 1800s there was a surge of writing about the Cornish language and dialect in an attempt to preserve them with glossaries and dictionaries being written. I wrote about it HERE.
I just love that this post happened to find the ONE HUMAN ON THE INTERNET who had the answer to this question
Q:If you have the time, maybe, Cop!AU Aomine/Rin/Sousuke?
"Mmm I do love a man in uniform." Rin sighs and tries really hard not to roll his eyes at the silky deep voice behind him.
"I think he’s talking to himself in a mirror again," Sosuke states. He tosses a handful of paperwork onto Rin’s desk and Rin chuckles. "No I’m serious I’m pretty sure he has one of those little pocket mirrors like what your sister carries around." Rin tries to resist looking over his shoulder at the newest transfer to the department but Sousuke’s teasing tone and raised eyebrows don’t make it easy. He gives in and looks back to see Aomine looking down at something on his desk. As if he can sense Rin and Sousuke watching he glances up and gives them both a lecherous grin.
"A well fitting uniform,” he practically purrs as he winks at both of them before standing and heading into the chief’s office.
Rin turns back around and shoots Sousuke a confused look. ”Was he flirting?”
"With, uh, both of us?"
"I think so." Sousuke laughs at Rin’s bemused expression.
"Well. That’s new."
